Disobedience or Love?

During my walk, I spotted this cute dog on a lead standing next to a man and a woman. I thought how lovely it would be to stroke him.

As I approached, the dog wagged his tail and walked towards me. Just as I was about to stroke him, the owner yanked the dog away commanding him to stay but the dog wouldn't obey. As I didn't want to cause any trouble, I walked away.

I can understand the owner pulling the dog away because the dog's behaviour could be misconstrued as attack by someone who is afraid of dogs.

As I see it, the dog wasn't being disobedient at all, he simply wanted to show some love.

Never mind! Plenty more fish in the sea.
