What Mood are You In?

"You oughta spend a little more time dealing with yourself and a little less time worrying about what your brother does. It's just an opinion." Ferris Beuller's Day Off
The wonderful thing I find about having relationships is I get to know my loved one's various moods whether they're happy or sad; and vice versa. I also get to choose whether to let a loved one's mood affect me or not.

To avoid picking up on my mother's sadness, for instance, I remind myself of my real identity as Love-Light. What usually happens is Love either lifts her emotional state and she feels happy or Love enables me to accept how she is feeling without feeling the need to change her.

I know I have moments when I feel the need to withdraw into silence. Someone who doesn't understand this need might interpret it as me being moody or giving them the silent treatment. However, someone who knows what it means to follow your heart will understand that being in silence is how I need to express myself at that moment.

I believe everything has their moods including the weather. As I was walking home in the rain yesterday I saw the rain as the weather expressing its feelings. Although my preference is dry weather, I was perfectly happy to let the rain express itself for however long it wanted to.

I accept how I am feeling.
I accept how others are feeling.
